It is Ishikawacho Station. \ (^ O ^) /
Grilled small dragon burdock has a thick skin and gets quite angry. The Edo-Quin pork bowl is unique and one serving. I recommend sharing with your friends. After that, there are sweet chestnuts, but there are also cases where they are sold out, so if you do not buy them, you should refrain from tasting. From the all-you-can-eat store called Tokumon Gate, you can enjoy casual eating and drinking among the Yokohama Hotel. You can also buy souvenirs. Recommendation of souvenir is good shop of Sakiyoken or Chongqing hotel. Recommended are mooncakes with walnuts, black sesame mooncakes, apricot kernel tofu, mango pudding and kaolinko. It is cold, but there is also a soft cream. If you walk to the area of Motomachi from the front of Seki emperor, I think that there was a store of specialized small parcel packages for take home. By the way, if you get lost in choosing a restaurant for lunch, we recommend a restaurant located by Seki Tei in the road between Shofukumon and Mazu. When working near me, lunch is reasonable and smells of Chinese food. Because there are many stores that have long run, there is a sense of security in the taste. It is recommended to have a nursery, Meilan, etc.
There is a little distance but you can walk
delicious.
Get off at Ishikawacho Station on the JR Negishi Line, just off the Chinatown exit
I will ignore
Cheap and delicious shops
Red brick
From Yokohama subway
It was quite crowded but the food was nice and economical. I liked the atmosphere and it's surprisingly big.
This is a big Chinatown made up of several streets. It's bright and lively and filled with rich colours and noises. There are heaps of eateries specialising in buns, tarts and if you feel like sitting down to eat, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. Lots of souvenir shops too.
quite nice place, always good for a walk
The Yokohama China Town was a nice experience and very enjoyable to walk through at night. I saw two good size temples and many options for food and drink. They have plenty of gift shops as well with affordable prices. Highly recommended if you haven’t been here before.
Amazing, love it, such a bright and lively atmosphere at night times. 10/10 would recommend.
Will give it a 3 Star. Many restaurants having buffet going fr 1680, 1980 & 2480 Yen. Not that you can eat that much anyway. Suggest eating from the streets as this is 1 place in Japan where you can eat as you walk. Besides experiencing the ambiance of the place, it's much cheaper too.
One of the most beautiful chinatowns I have ever seen. Clean, well organized and so many small alleys to stroll around. Just be careful of the common tourist traps of overpriced Chinese restaurants. It's always better to ask locals and/or check before going.I'll be back next year for Chinese New Year! Yay!!!
Quality used electronic items can buy for reasonable cost. Foods and goods cheaper than other places in Yokohama. Night life so amazing and beautiful.
Come hungry! Yokohama Chinatown is chalk full of delicious Chinese restaurants. Avoid the places where hawkers are trying to pull you in. There are so many other superb restaurants - spanning a wide range of cost - that you’ll do well doing a bit of advance research. Enjoy!
This is a very fun place to spend the afternoon. If you are a foodie and like Chinese foods from different providence's, then this place is for you 100'S of fun eateries here. Make sure you try the Shanghai meat buns or pork dumplings. They are the best. The area is about a mile or so around the China entire several blocks and there are hidden gems everywhere. Each time I come here, I locate a new great spot.
Authentic Chinatown of Yokohama.. Lots of Chinese themed buildings and temples.. Souvenirs from China are easily available.. Even Nepal made souvenirs are sold here under the Made In China umbrella... Interesting and colourful location for photography... There are many side lanes to explore...
Very crowded streets, lots of tourists and locals, ideally you want to have a game plan or else your day will mostly be spent waiting in line to buy small treats. The quality is hit or miss, but get ready for a carb load because the meat content is pretty small. This is not a place for high quality Chinese food, it's for cheap eats. Note that there are no trash cans anywhere, you carry your trash or return it to the vendor you bought your food from. Restrooms are limited and not very sanitary. This is a typically a place I would visit once just for the experience and to claim I have been there done that.
This is kind of a tourist trap As a Cantonese speaker many venues could not understand me. They spoke Japanese only or sometimes broken mandarin. Food was ok from many stalls and shops but nothing special or particularly Chinese. There are however some gorgeous buildings here including a few temples so I give it an ok review. Worth a visit but maybe not a meal.
I love this Chinatown. Very atmospheric. A lot of small shops and restaurants. Very nice in the evening. Easy to get there
It is big and has a nice atmosphere but the lack of variety in food was a big disappointment for me. A lot of copy paste restaurants selling exactly the same thing, that it’s hard to distinguish one restaurant from another. If you’re looking for authenticity, you will not find it here.
Best China. Town in the world better than Singapore China town 10 times
Lantern-lined alleys, with mouth-watering scents in every corner. Cosy souvenir shops , and stalls where you can get your fortune told or picture drawn. Definitely going back.
By far the cleanest Chinatown I have ever visited. Very curated to tourists however with only a few stores with hanging meat and wares being hocked. Lots of tourist trap food but on the whole very tasty regardless.
One of the most well-established China towns in Japan (maybe the world too). Vibrant and full of energy. Giant steamed dumplings are tasty.
A bit touristy with lots of restaurants, snack stalls and gift shops. Restaurants are on the expensive side, so check Google ratings before deciding on one. I went to one which was way below expectation and service was also poor. Or just stick to the street food stalls which offer great hawker food on the cheap.
A great tourist spot with lots of food and shops to visit. Also really nice for the holidays with plenty of opportunities for good pictures!
Great restaurants and pastry shops! Multiple moon cake shops (my favorite.) Street vendors selling street food and dumpling windows. For the most part everything is well priced. Definitely worth the visit
Mostly food places. All selling the same things basically. Not great but not bad at all. Shark fin soup was everywhere.
I love it! Absolutely love this Chinatown. I go here with my clients for photoshoots, with my wife to eat, with friends to hang out.
It's the largest Chinatown in Japan. It's definitely worth a visit as a day trip to see all the dumplings and snacks stalls. We found the food in the restaurants to be over priced and the taste to be lacking in authenticity. Good for a visit but would not recommend eating, if you are e expecting good authentic Chinese food.
Get your more confortable pair of shoes and be ready for the adventure. The food variety is amazing so don’t get breakfast that day and be open mind.Prices are very good and lots to do and see here. The neighborhood is very busy but not chaotic, just take your time.
Loved this place! Huge and beautifully decorated Chinatown with lots to eat and cheap souvenirs to buy. Wouldn't go out of your way if you've seen other Chinatowns but if you're specially craving some Chinese food or are in the area it's work a visit.
Yokohama Chinatown is so great! Around with a lot of Chinese restaurant, and they look so tasty. Such as Buns, all-you-can-eat Sim Sum, and bubble mike tea. Of course this place have a lot of tourist (not only Asian). And this Chinatown is very clean! Different from a Chinatown in my country like sky and abyss.
Beautiful architecture with a lot of delicious street foods await for you to come to taste them.
Beautiful and super clean! I definitely recommend walking through. Not sure how authentic the food is, but it's a nice experience in the heart of the city
It was a great experience walking through Chinatown and sampling the authentic road side Chinese dumplings. There are beautiful Chinese shrines and stores along the road way which give off an atmosphere of being in China. It was a very fun visit.
Yokohama Chinatown just OK because it lack of the Chineseness variant if want to go Chinatown I prefer Kobe Chinatown more thing to see and eat. But Yokohama has one shop selling Shanghai bun 小笼包 from鹏天阁 very nice worth to try
Very nice spot to satisfy your Chinese food cravings. Lots of varieties of food to choose from, especially now that every vendor is trying to differentiate themselves from each other. Do look out for review of restaurants before you enter, instead of following the touts.
China town in Japan, beautiful place and nice to place walk lots of things to see and lots of things to buy good place to check around and get some gift for your friend and family. There was so many people. Hard to work by on the main road. Main road of china town has so many variety of Chinese food you can try and seat outdoor relax and enjoy your food as well
Thought it was just ok. This is coming from someone who has lived in a chinatown before and has very frequently gone to other major ones. It's clean which is a huge plus than ones I've gone to. But it seemed every street offered the same thing and wasn't much variety of specialties. If you don't have the same background as me, you can take this with a grain a salt. Still worth checking out if you're bored in Yokohama (not a ton to do beyond a day).
my first time went to a Chinatown other than Glodok in Jakarta. it was nice experience here, though it was a bit rainy during my visit here. but after all, i really enjoyed myself
Yokohama Chinatown is really cool. It has good shops and restaurants that have excellent food. I went during golden week, so it was extremely crowded then but I'm sure that it's less crowded on regular days. I'd like to visit again when it's less crowded 😊
A fun area to wonder around in. So many food options. If you leave here hungry it is your fault. Parades pop up during the day time, making for fun entertainment in the streets.
Lots of good food, lanterns, and almost no litter. Great if your hungry.
Good place to visit. Not very crowded as I thought it would be
One of the must place to visit in Yokohama. Great food. Cool ambiance. Fast services. Lot of different food choice.
Travel here twice, very pretty street and delicious food is everywhere you go. There is also plenty of shop selling Chinese goods around. Although if you go there when there aren't a lot of people then it can be a bit annoying as the restaurant employee trying hard to pull you in to it. But overall, nice place to experience the Chinese cruisine and culture. Would go back again.
Great place to walk and buy food. Needs to have more variety though, too many shops selling the same thing like bao when there is so much more types of Chinese cuisine and street food that is not offered
Not very exciting. 99% was good related. Not enough other shipping varieties and cultural entertainment or information. Of course it's in Japan!
It’s the biggest china town in Japan and it is what you’d expect. The variety is great, the atmosphere is good and the food is yummy. Other than food there isn’t a lot to purchase and the crowds get pretty big after 1700 but overall, a great experience! I haven’t been to many china towns so don’t have much to compare it to, but the quality and pricing of the food was good and I think that warrants a visit in itself!
Really fun, enjoyable, clean Chinatown (the largest in Japan). Lots of food vendors and restaurants. Loved it.
Yokohama Chinatown is one of the nicer and cleaner Chinatowns I have ever visited. Has a lot of places to eat and fun place to explore.
Many different places to explore in many shops/experiences to try. Always a good time and a good idea to bring foreigners of travel. There is a different vibe that Chinatown provides which is none like any other. I’m glad that it is situated in Japan, the culture is real .
Awesome, awesome, awesome. Simply awesome. Clean, packed to the gills with more cultures than you'll see anywhere else in Japan, and food to die for. There is a never ending supply of cultural yumminess here, with trendy bubble tea shops, the expected Chinese cuisine (bot new and old, within reason) and fortune tellers for the holidays. Truly an amazing location worth visiting while in Yokohama.
Really great place to visit, really vibrant and busy area some of the restaurants feel a little touristy so we didn’t go in just had some dumplings on the street they were ok but I have had better at 7-Eleven
